This nursery building and associated outside play spaces were within the grounds of Godinton Primary School. The available site was sloping and constricted with a large number of mature trees leading to the requirement for piled foundations. The building was designed to follow the curve of the existing access road and the clerestory roof provided a double height space over the internal amenity area, with staff accommodation at first floor. The completed building accommodated a total of 75 from babies through to pre-school children.
